Thank you for your interest in working at Island Time! As we continue to grow, we are always looking for new team members.
At Island Time, we have 4 programs based on the season.
Hourly care: Offered year-round to children 12months-12yrs old. Focus of care is on supervised structured and unstructured PLAY. Our drop-in center is open from 7am-6pm (Monday-Friday) and for bi-monthly date nights.
Preschool: Offered to 3-4yr olds from September-May from 9am-1pm. Focus is on social interaction and PLAY.
After-School Care: Offered during the school year for 5-12yr olds from 2pm-6pm. Focus is on supervised structured and unstructured PLAY
Summer Camp: Weekly camp themes from 9am – 3pm offered June-August for 4-12yr olds. Activities and field trips follow weekly themes with the focus on supervised structured and unstructured PLAY.
We are looking for energetic team members who like to PLAY. Sometimes we are looking for playcare staff for just a specific program and other times we are looking for playcare staff that can do a little bit of everything! So, tell us a little about yourself and hopefully we’ll have the right match!!
OUR REQUIREMENTS
Job Application
Must be at least 21yrs old (to drive the vans). Employees under 21 can still PLAY with kids.
Must be have a clean driving record and clean background check.
Must be willing to drive a 14 passenger van for preschool, after-school and summer programs.
CPR/First Aid certified
Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience with children is preferred but not required.
Willingness to change diapers and assist in potty training.
**By NC guidelines, employees children may only attend center for a max of 2.5 hours per day.**
