'26-'27 IT Preschool

Island Time Preschool is daily from 9am-1pm. We loosely follow the New Hanover County Schools schedule (with some modification).

We are so excited to be able to offer flexibility for families! Island Time Preschool is available 2, 3, or 5 days a week for ALL ages! Rates are below:

2 year olds: (must be 2 by 8/31/2026).
--5 days: $500/month
--3 days: $325/month
--2 days: $240/month

3yr olds: (must be 3 by 8/31/2026)
--5 days: $450/month
--3 days: $295/month
--2 days: $220/month

4yr olds: (must be 4 before 8/31/2026)
--5 days: $400/month
--3 days: $265/month
--2 days: $200/month

What to expect:

12:30 Music, Closing Meeting, ready for pick-up
*Activities introduce aspects of science, art, math, reading, and dramatic play following that weekly/monthly themes.

Acceptance letters will be sent no later than May 15, 2026 (if not sooner). Upon receipt of an acceptance letter, a deposit and signed letter of intent is required to hold your child's spot for the '26-
27 school year. This deposit will be applied as your LAST month of tuition.

Cancellation Policy:
Tuition deposit is applied to the LAST month your child attends preschool. Proper notification allows your teachers to plan for success.
60-45 days - Full Refund
30-45 days - 1/2 refund
less than 30 days - no refund

Food and Drinks
Children will need a ready-to-eat lunch & snack each day.
A water bottle is required each day.
By order of the Health Department, we cannot provide reusable water bottles.
If your child does not have a water bottle, a disposable water bottle will be provided and charged $1/bottle.

Discipline:
Child development includes learning self-discipline, which is better learned through guidance than through punishment. At Island Time Preschool we follow Positive Guidance Techniques throughout the day. In order to protect and preserve children’s feelings of being lovable and capable, we offer children choices only when willing to accept their decisions.
Work with “the grain” of children instead of against it.
Give children safe limits they can understand.
Set a good example!!
The quiet time will be used to interrupt unacceptable behavior by removing the child from the “scene of the action.” Quiet time is a calming device, not a punishment. The quiet time shall be short enough that the child has a chance to go back to the original situation and learn acceptable behavior.
